Educating Yorkshire is a BAFTA award winning British documentary
television programme broadcast last year on Channel 4. This popular series follows the
everyday lives of the staff and students of Thornhill
Community Academy, a secondary school in Dewsbury, West Yorkshire.
The series was well received by critics with the
first episode achieving over 4 million viewers, and was popular with Twitter users prompting over 126,000 tweets
becoming the most tweeted about show of the day. Headteacher Mr Mitchell and
student Ryan also trended in the UK list. The final episode received
critical acclaim, with tweets praising the students featured in the episode as
well as the inspirational teachers and head of years.
The newly built Thornhill Academy
is an impressive building and it was flattering to see that they had chosen our
range of Shield® indoor noticeboards, both wall fixed and freestanding. An
obvious consideration for them was style and durability as Shield® represents
the coordinated solution in busy environments. The range features the
contemporary Shield® profile frame design with the same coordinated fabric
colourways (choose from 5 different frame colours, aluminium, blue, red, white
and green and a vast array of either loop nylon or woven fabric colour
options). Choose from indoor, outdoor, wall fixed and freestanding variants all
of which are manufactured in the UK to the highest specifications,
with competitive prices and fast lead times.
